Reston, Virginia (PRWEB) October 11, 2017 -- During its annual Business Meeting on October 5 in Los Angeles, California, the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) presented its 2017 Awards. These honorees are deserving innovators who have significantly contributed to the field of continuing education and training. The award winners are:
- The Exemplar Training Organization Award, IACET’s most prestigious award, goes to Cumming, Georgia-based HomeTown Health, LLC (hometownhealthonline.com) for their exemplary, results-oriented program that provides the opportunity to help rural hospitals survive amid rapid change and constant reimbursement struggles. HomeTown Health provides cost-effective access to experts through online training webinars and online staff support courses which enables rural hospitals to share best practices among themselves and measure themselves against hospitals their own size.
- The IACET Innovation of the Year for Learner Engagement Award goes to Los Angeles, California-based Business U, Incorporated (Business-U.net) for their Business Engagement Bootcamp® program. Business Engagement Boot Camp® is designed to support their customers in moving beyond a transactional relationship with an employer to understanding how to build long-term, sustainable relationships. Public-sector customers using Business-U’s transformational approaches help influence businesses to partner with workforce and education initiatives. Business U’s blend of onsite and online classroom instruction establishes the theory of why a shift in thinking about transformational relationship approaches is critical to success; coupled with role-playing using scripts and real-world scenarios.
- The IACET Innovation of the Year Award for Technology Integration goes to Honolulu, Hawaii-based National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (ndptc.hawaii.edu) for developing their own custom data management solution for administering training programs. NDPTC’s custom management system provides a great model for breaking down information silos in an organization and using a comprehensive data set from multiple sources to make decisions regarding effective training.
"IACET is pleased to recognize these winners as representing the highest quality in adult training and education today. Each winner has accomplished outstanding results through a keen focus on best practices in the field of continuing adult education in the workplace." said Joe McClary, IACET CEO.
