IBTS Opens Office in Kansas City, Missouri
Ashburn, VA (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- The Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) is proud to share that we have officially opened our newest office, located in Kansas City, MO. This is the latest addition to IBTS’s current offices in Virginia, New York, Texas, Louisiana, and Washington, DC.
In November of 2013, the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) signed a master agreement with IBTS, which offers a suite of services on an as-needed basis to MARC’s nine member counties and 119 member cities as well as other non-member jurisdictions. Since that point, IBTS has hired additional staff in the area to fulfill work in progress and to prepare for additional opportunities.
“The opening of this office is just one indication that IBTS has a presence and purpose to serve MARC and the citizens of the Kansas City area,” noted Paul Hancher, Director of Building Department Services at IBTS.
Three notable hires for the Kansas City Office are those of Roger Kroh, Mark Manville, and Curt Skoog. Roger Kroh most recently served as Energy Projects Manager for MARC and brings over 30 years of experience in municipal services, particularly planning and community development. Mark Manville joins IBTS with 25 years of experience as a building official and is an ICC Certified. Curt Skoog brings to IBTS over 20 years of experience as well as familiarity with MARC and the Kansas City region, specifically Overland Park, KS.
IBTS plans to continue growing the reach of our service offerings, and the office opening in Kansas City will provide a base as we continue to expand into the Midwest area of the country.
