IC-Fluid Power Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Rossford, Ohio (PRWEB) July 11, 2014 -- IC-Fluid Power, a privately held specialty hydraulic sourcing firm, celebrates its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter century in northwest Ohio as the North American hub for sales and marketing for the industry.
IC-Fluid Power was founded in 1989 by Armin Hunger and Jim Reed, who has since retired, to provide customers access to high-quality hydraulic technology, components and solutions. For the past 25 years, IC-Fluid Power has combined in-house technical expertise with long-standing relationships of The International Hydraulic Group, which consists of 15 German and other European hydraulic manufacturers, to deliver off-the-shelf and custom hydraulic systems and components to customers throughout North America.
What started as a small operation in a garage with one part-time employee in Perrysburg, Ohio quickly grew to a more than 6,000-square-foot warehouse with a need for additional salespeople at its current location in Rossford. IC-Fluid Power was founded on Christian principles, seeking God first and treating others with love and respect, which are the bedrock of the company today.
Mr. Hunger credits the success of the business to its willingness to assist American customers with connections to quality German products and develop strong personal relationships with all suppliers, a number of which have done business with IC-Fluid Power since the beginning.
“We were present if our customers needed something and we did the dialogue between Germany and the U.S. customer so the U.S. customer didn't have to go directly to Germany and he could talk to an American source and we would provide that service to him,” Mr. Hunger said. “I’m very happy we have survived 25 years. We had our ups and downs like every business, but our suppliers all stuck with us and had trust in our company.”
During the last 25 years, IC-Fluid Power has been the connection between engineers, purchasing departments, and project managers across the globe for hydraulic components, saving clients time and resources. IC-Fluid Power has multi-language communications, a strong relationship with its European counterparts, and experienced freight brokers, which ensures hassle-free customs and on-time delivery.
