ICA Named a Major Player in the U.S. Health Information Exchange Packaged Solutions Market
Nashville, Tennessee (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- In a newly published study on the U.S. Health Information Exchange Packaged Solutions market, Nashville-based ICA was named a Major Player* and placed among the top seven (7) providers, being identified as one of the few independent HIE vendors remaining after a year of consolidation and departures by some key players.
“This is a great accomplishment for ICA,” says Gary Zegiestowsky, CEO of ICA. Leveraging more than 10 years of experience with health information exchanges, ICA has expanded its HIE business to now support a broader range of organizations including: hospitals and health systems like OSF Healthcare and Hartford Healthcare; ACOS and large scale IDNs such as Tenet Health; and health plans such as United Health Care, Amerigroup and the Upper Peninsula Health Plan.
ICA, a leader in intelligent interoperability technology, is currently focused on meeting the market where the needs are greatest to enable effective management of targeted populations. ICA is one of the largest Health Information Service Providers (HISP) providing direct messaging to a national network of clients spanning more than 1,000 organizations across the US. This service is primarily used to facilitate transitions of care mandated by Meaningful Use and has most recently been expanded to health plans to assist with the electronic transfer of documents to improve HEDIS scores starting with a payer in Tennessee. This service is augmented adding system level intelligence with event-based alerts and notifications to manage high-risk, high-cost patients and populations, working with ACOs, Managed Care organizations and health plans to ensure quality, cost effective care is delivered.
More broadly, ICA is expanding to support Population Health initiatives. According to Zegiestowsky, Population Health at scale has two key requirements: foundational interoperability and system-level intelligence to ensure that the appropriate intervention is made based on the patient’s risk and care context. “ICA’s solution is built on a world-class interoperability platform with proven integrations across multiple systems, protocols, formats and data deployments. This allows us to use the right type of connection to get the right information to the right person at the right time," claims Zegiestowsky.
“ICA’s real-time surveillance, information extraction and alerting capabilities can be tailored to an organization’s specific care coordination needs allowing clients to go beyond basic event notification to actually solving real-world workflow challenges.”
