iCohere Opens "Serving Those Who Serve Others" Award Program for Nonprofit Organizations
Walnut Creek, CA (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- iCohere, Inc. today announced the start of its 2014 “Serving Those Who Serve Others” recognition program for nonprofit service organizations. The winning applicant will be awarded pro-bono hosting of a full-service, 3-day virtual conference, enabling it to reach expanded national and global audiences.
“Large nonprofit organizations and government agencies are learning they can advance their missions through multi-day virtual conferences,” according to Pascal Kaplan. iCohere’s co-founder and CEO. “But because these services are costly, smaller and less well-endowed service organizations have not been able to provide their volunteers and public audiences with the educational, networking, and inspirational benefits of a major virtual event. We are ready to change that.”
There are many benefits to hosting a virtual conference, Kaplan explained. Organizations can deliver professional development and learning opportunities to their audiences without the travel costs usually associated with on-site conferences. Expert presenters can more easily agree to participate, since virtual conferences do not require time away from their homes or offices. “What’s even more meaningful,” according to Kaplan, “is that the peer-to-peer and peer-to-expert networking opportunities and interactions that arise during the virtual conference can continue even after the event has ended.”
An online application can be found on iCohere’s website at http://www.icohere.com/ServingOthers.htm. Entries must be received by February 25, 2014, in order to be considered for a conference in 2014.
