Iconic Pinnacle Club by Grand Hyatt Denver Redesigned to Offer Two Ballrooms with Pre-Function Space
Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- Having now completed a $28 million hotel renovation, the associates of Grand Hyatt Denver announce the re-launch of the Pinnacle Club. Located on the 38th floor, this meeting and event space with panoramic views features two large ballrooms complete with pre-function areas.
The 10,000 square foot Pinnacle Club boasts one of the farthest views of any event facility in the United States. The U. S. Geological Survey estimates the view encompasses a span of 10,600 miles of snowcapped peaks and prairie, taking in 200 named mountains, including Pikes Peak more than one hundred miles away. Thirty-two (32) of them soar to 13,000 feet or more above sea level. The area that can be viewed is larger than Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware combined and is about equal to seeing every inch of Massachusetts – all at once.
Inside, Crystal Peak and Capitol Peak Ballrooms received a completely new look. More than 1200 hand-blown crystal light fixtures were individually hung from the 14 foot ceiling. A kitchen that was previously anchored against a bank of windows, was moved to the interior, allowing Pinnacle Club to be windowed on all four sides. The architectural designed is complemented with lavish accents of cherry wood and brass. Awe inspiring sunsets are met with expertly prepared cuisine, custom menus and attentive service.
The Pinnacle Club has a rich Denver history dating back to Colorado’s “Oil Boom Days” of the early 1980s when it was known as The Petroleum Club. In 2003, Hyatt began managing the space that is on the top floor of the adjoining office tower at 555 17th Street. In creating the concept for the new Pinnacle Club, we wanted to refresh and modernize while retaining the opulence that it is known for. A great deal of thought and care went into achieving that goal,” said Grand Hyatt Denver general manager Mark Stiebeling.
With the Pinnacle Club, Grand Hyatt Denver’s 52,600 square feet of versatile conference space includes five ballrooms. All 516 spacious accommodations were also renovated along with the Skycourt, one of downtown Denver’s only roof top jogging tracks and tennis courts, and the guest reception area. The hotel’s lobby was reconfigured as well adding two linear stacked fireplaces set in chiseled stone on a 20 foot high wall . It, along with Fireside | the bar, are focal points for arriving guests.
