ID Medical dons the denim on Jeans for Genes Day 2013
Milton Keynes, UK (PRWEB UK) 24 September 2013 -- ID Medical, the UK’s leading provider of locum doctors, nurses, AHP/HSS and clerical staff has raised a fantastic £385.90 for Genetic Disorders UK on Jeans for Genes Day 2013.
On Friday 20th September, staff at ID Medical left their suit trousers at home, donned their best denim jeans and made a minimum donation of £2 for the cause. Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.
Jeans for Genes Day is just one of many health-related fundraising events firmly included within ID Medical’s internal fundraising programme and as seen in many of its previous fundraising campaigns, ID Medical’s infamous power-up routine lifted spirits for the denim-clad crew. The company looks forward to supporting the cause in 2014 and beyond.
Genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies born each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 and under.
