iDiscovery Solutions’ Experts To Speak Across the Country in May
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- iDiscovery Solutions, Inc., ("iDS"), an award-winning, global, legal technology expert services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, will see many of its experts speaking across the country in May. iDS will have panelists at Littler Mendelson’s Executive Employer® Conference (Scottsdale, AZ, on May 9), CEIC 2014 (Las Vegas, NV, on May 20 & 21), and the Masters Conference (Chicago, IL, on May 28). Known as some of the top thought leaders in the industry, iDS’ team of experts are often called upon to speak on e-Discovery, digital forensics, predicative analytics, Big Data, social media, and more.
Mr. Daniel Regard, CEO of iDS and one of the of the Top 3 Individual Expert Witnesses for Technology in Legal Times’ “Best of 2013”, will be a panelist at the Littler Mendelson event on May 9. The 9:30am-10:45am panel, “Predictive Coding Has Solved the Problem of Electronic Discovery – Not So Fast!” will also feature Cecil A. Lynn III of eBay, and Aaron Crews, Allan King, and Michael McGuire of Littler. The panel will discuss how predictive coding, also known as Technology Assisted Review (TAR), has been heavily promoted as a budget-slashing “solution” for the cost-prohibitive challenges of e-Discovery. The session will further educate the attendees about this technology and how it can be deployed in their cases. It will cover TAR basics (including a working demonstration); differences among the leading approaches to TAR; legal risks and challenges of using TAR; and critical considerations for using TAR in your cases to achieve its intended purpose – saving money.
Mr. Jim Vaughn, Managing Director and head of iDS’ West Coast operations, will be featured on two panels at this year’s CEIC Conference, which takes place in Las Vegas, NV, from May 19-22. Mr. Vaughn’s first panel, "Mitigating EDRM Left Side Risks and Lessons Learned - Understanding ESI and IT Infrastructure," will be held on May 20 from 1:30pm-3:00pm. Co-presented with Scott Carlson of Seyfarth Shaw, the panel is designed for corporate investigators and outside consultants responsible for the identification, preservation, and collection of data. It will help attendees design an overall defensible and standardized plan for ESI matters.
Mr. Vaughn’s second panel, “Evaluating and Understanding Your Client’s Infrastructure," will be held from 4:30pm-6:00pm on May 21. Co-presented with Gordon Calhoun of Lewis Brisbois, this session will provide case studies and lessons learned from mistakes made on the left side of the EDRM model. It will also allow the attendee to walk away with a great understanding of what questions to ask to obtain a complete understanding of the infrastructure.

Mr. Ackert will be a panelist on “Predictive Analytics and Its Effect on Big Data,” Mr. Grobbel will be moderating “Cloud Computing & Mobile Devices: How To Be Prepared for Litigation,” and Mr. Livingston will be moderating “The Social Media (R)Evolution: How Social Media Content Impacts e-Discovery Risks and Costs.” Also featured at the conference will be a lunch keynote by Honorable Nan R. Nolan (Ret.).
