ILX Comment on Scheme to Improve Business Graduates’ Employability
(PRWEB UK) 20 January 2014 -- It has been reported by Fresh Business Thinking on December 3 that a nationwide campaign has been launched this week which aims to review and improve the curriculum in Britain’s business schools. The campaign aims to make sure that students are provided with the necessary skills to become future managers. The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Association of Business Schools (ABS) will work in partnership to review the current curriculum, working together to anticipate employers’ needs and increasing the employability of graduates. The scheme aims to develop practical management experience and innovative courses which hope to improve business graduates’ employability and enable them to make a positive impact on the businesses they work for.
As experts in project management training, the specialists at ILX closely follow industry news and were interested in the launch of this new programme. A representative for the company offered their comments:
“It is welcome news that an initiative has been launched to improve the curriculum in Britain’s business schools. It is widely believed that poor project managers contribute to the failure of projects, and so ensuring that those overseeing such projects are highly trained and skilled in the field is important in contributing to their successful completion. While it is encouraging that a programme has been put in place to improve graduates’ employability, gaining qualifications outside of studies are another way of improving employment opportunities.”
