Imagination Playground 3D Builder App Now Available on Android Devices

Just like in real life, users can stack, connect, and channel with the Imagination Playground Big Blue Blocks – offering children an amazing way to bridge the worlds of physical and digital play.
“The 3D Builder app has been wildly successful on iOS, both for relaxation and use in the classroom. So, of course, our next step was to release the app for use on Android devices. Lamplighter Labs (http://www.lamplighterlabs.com), a Development and Design shop based in NYC, worked closely with the Imagination Playground team to bring the real life experience of playing with their iconic blocks to the digital world using Unity’s 3D gaming engine. “We’ve been so thrilled to hear all of the positive feedback from parents and kids about the endless fun they’re having playing with the app,” shared Kris Minkstein of the Lamplighter Lab team.
Imagination Playground is sponsoring a nationwide contest to support the launch of the 3D Builder app – Imagination Playground Build-A-Thon. Children ages 2-10 years of age have two ways to play and are eligible for over 500 prizes, including a trip to New York City and Imagination Playground Blocks Sets. They can submit as many app screen designs as they like to buildathon(at)imaginationplayground(dot)com.
Entrants can forward screen shots of their designs to enter. Or entrants can physically build with their Imagination Playground Big Blue Blocks at any of their Partners in Play (local family centers, children’s museums, discovery centers and science centers).
