Imagination Playground Announces Learn and Play National Tour
(PRWEB) March 02, 2016 -- Imagination Playground, LLC, http://www.imaginationplayground.com, creators of the breakthrough play space concept that encourages child-directed, unstructured free play, announced today their 2016 Learn and Play Tour as part of their company mission to bring creative play to more children.
Learn and Play events give children access to build with Imagination Playground blocks at participating children’s museums across the country, Imagination Playground’s “Partners In Play.” Children from local communities and their caregivers are invited to participate admission-free at each event.
The Learn and Play Tour recently stopped at Kohl Children’s Museum in Illinois, where hundreds of children experienced playing with “The Big Blue Blocks” for the first time. One parent commented, “When I watch my kids play, I’m looking to see them smile. And that’s all I saw today, just big grins."
Upcoming tour stops include the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, CA, Miami Children's Museum, Brooklyn Children's Museum, Chicago Children’s Museum, the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, and more. Over 25 Learn and Play Tour events in all are scheduled for 2016.
Imagination Playground CEO David Krishock conceptualized the Learn and Play Tour to propel Imagination Playground’s over-arching mission to get more children playing. The company’s 2016 goal is to reach 3 Million more children, 6 Million more parents, and 9 Million more educators with creative play.
“Learn and Play events are a fun-filled way we’ve found to introduce creative block play to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience an Imagination Playground. In 2016 we are traveling non-stop to share the excitement with as many children as we can,” said Krishock.
Learn and Play events also provide a perfect opportunity to participate in Imagination Playground’s 2016 Build-A-Thon contest. Children aged 2 to 10 are encouraged to snap photos of the builds they create and submit them for consideration to win prizes. Children who are unable to participate at Learn and Play events can alternatively submit entries created using Imagination Playground’s 3D-Builder mobile application, available for free download on the iTunes App Store or on Google Play. Or, to find additional physical locations to build across the globe, participants can visit http://www.imaginationplayground.com/mission/partners-in-play.html
Build-A-Thon entrants can submit photos of as many physical builds or app screen designs as they like.
