Imagination Playground Announces New “Vote for Play” Give-away
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 20, 2016 -- Imagination Playground, LLC, http://www.imaginationplayground.com, creators of the breakthrough play space concept that encourages child-directed, unstructured free play, announced today another opportunity for schools and organizations to VOTE for Play, and be awarded their very own Imagination Playground and Play Associate Training (a value of $7,500).
Beginning Monday, January 18, 12:00 p.m. ET, schools and organizations can rally their memberships to VOTE for their organization to be awarded a free playground. Individuals VOTE for their school or organization and can place their ballot once per day through the campaign period, which ends on Wednesday March 9, 11:00 p.m. ET. The winning organization (one with the most votes) will be announced on Friday, March 11, 2016.
The VOTE for Play program is open to schools, daycare centers, children’s museums (nature, science, or discovery center), community centers, parks or other children’s organizations. Six Imagination Playgrounds were awarded last year in the VOTE for Play program. The last awardee of 2015 was Woodmere Elementary School in Portland, OR. The school won the campaign in November, 2015, and received their playground in December.
Everyone can vote once per day, every day, during the session period. Getting the word out via social media, newsletters, and parent campaigns have been the most successful tactics by past winners. “Working together, we rallied our votes through Facebook, the school marquee, email, and school newsletters,” shared Dr. Shelley Aistrup, Principal at Auburn Early Education Center (AEEC), and a past VOTE for Play recipient.
“It is amazing to see how supportive the communities are when uniting in a common effort to bring an Imagination Playground to the children they serve. We have had over 10,000 schools and organizations participate in the program, and excitement surrounds the opening of each new VOTE for Play session,” shared Dave Krishock, Imagination Playground President & CEO.
“We wish the schools and communities surrounding them all the best in their efforts, and we look forward to awarding a new playground to another deserving school or organization in March,” Krishock said in conclusion.
