New York, NY (PRWEB) August 08, 2016 -- Imagination Playground, LLC, http://www.imaginationplayground.com, creators of the breakthrough play space concept that encourages child-directed, unstructured free play, announced today another opportunity for schools and family centers to “Vote for Play”—and be awarded their very own Imagination Playground and Play Associate Training (valued at $7,500).
Beginning Monday, August 8 at 12:00 pm EST, organizations can rally their community to vote to be awarded a 105 piece set of Imagination Playground Big Blue Blocks. Voting individuals can place their ballot once per day, every day, through the campaign period, which ends on Wednesday, September 28 at 11:00 p.m. EST. The awardee (school or family center with the most votes) will be announced shortly thereafter.
The VOTE for Play program is open to schools, daycare centers, children’s museums, nature, science, and discovery centers, community centers, parks and other children’s organizations. Since its inception, 12 schools and family centers have earned an Imagination Playground through the VOTE program, and over 30,000 schools and organizations have entered the contest. The last awardee was Finn Academy: An Elmira Charter School—a new charter school previously operating with no playground equipment.
Among the winning tactics employed by past awardees include “getting the word out” via social media, emails, and newsletters. Many past winning schools have credited their winning to support from parent groups (PTA’s and PTO’s) and their school’s district.
Dave Krishock, Imagination Playground President and CEO shared, “We are so excited to offer another opportunity for schools and family centers to VOTE— it’s always emotional to watch how communities come together in support of play. We wish everyone the best in their outreach efforts and look forward to announcing the next awardee!”
