Imagine Dragons got their start in Las Vegas in 2008; however, it was not until the release of their debut album entitled Night Visions in 2012 that the band started to receive any exposure. Within the first week of the release, the album had sold more than 80,000 albums and was the number 2 album on the Billboard 200. In the aftermath of their initial success, the band has performed a worldwide tour and has most recently been seen gaining popularity and fame on popular late night television shows including Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon.
In only their second year of commercial success, Imagine Dragons have already been nominated for several awards by the Teen Choice Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards. In 2013, the group was nominated for and won the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Rock Song. Additionally, Rolling Stone Magazine has stated that the band’s song “Radioactive” is the “biggest rock hit of the year.” Imagine Dragons is currently working on producing their second album; however, the group can now be seen live in concert at one of the aforementioned venues throughout the US and Canada.
