Imari Paris Jeffries Named Managing Partner At Parenting Journey
Somerville, MA (PRWEB) April 06, 2017 -- Parenting Journey (formerly The Family Center) is pleased to announce its recent hire of Imari Paris Jeffries, who will join the Parenting Journey team as Managing Partner, working out of the headquarters in Somerville, MA.
Paris Jeffries has a long professional history of public, national, and nonprofit service, including leadership positions at Jumpstart, Boston Rising, Friends of the Children-Boston, the Massachusetts Service Alliance, the BELL Foundation, and most recently as CEO of Italian Home.

Paris Jeffries’ public service experience began in the US Armed Services during the First Gulf War. He has served on the boards of the African American Federation of Greater Boston, Save the Harbor, Save the Bay, the Elizabeth Peabody House, Massachusetts Mentoring Partnership, The Edward Brooke Charter School, and Third Sector New England. Imari currently serves as a Board member of the Appalachian Mountain Club. Recently Imari was appointed by Governor Baker as a Trustee of the University of Massachusetts System and the African American Advisory Commission. A 2012 recipient of the Rosoff Award Champion of Change, Paris Jeffries has always been an advocate of social justice. He is also the co-founder of the Community Fellows Program at the Institute of Non-profit Practice at Tufts, a program dedicated to diversity and minority leadership development.
A longtime resident of Boston with his three children, Paris Jeffries is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a BA, MEd, and MA. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Education.
