IMEC Announces Results of Made in Chicago Logo Contest
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) February 04, 2014 -- Made in Chicago, a new program and network for Chicago-region designers, engineers and manufacturers was recently launched on January 21, 2014. As one of the initiatives at the event, attendees had the opportunity to vote on their favorite logo. From the five finalists, a winner was chosen.
The logo includes elements of Chicago including the skyline and flag that are recognizable to a broader audience; symbols that say it’s about Chicago. In addition, a gear represents the strength of manufacturing in the city. The logo will be implemented on the website at http://www.MadeinChicago.org, along with all Made in Chicago communications.
“Made in Chicago is about bringing manufacturers, designers and engineers together for mutual opportunities, and the logo selection is just another way to get the community involved in building this program,” states David Boulay, President of Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center. Since the launch, IMEC and Made in Chicago have begun identifying sourcing needs of the design community and are working to identify manufacturing firms in and around the city to fill the requests.
