Improv Comedy Festival Attracts Home Buyers to the Coachella Valley
Indio, CA (PRWEB) July 09, 2014 -- Brad Schmett, Broker Associate with Luxury Homes by Keller Williams, today announced the highly anticipated Coachella Valley Improv/Comedy Festival set for July 11-13 will be a major attraction for luxury home buyers, many of whom will be coming from the Los Angeles and Orange County areas to compete in the inaugural event.
Scheduled for the perfectly suited Indio Performing Arts Center in downtown Indio, this will be the first ever collaborative event of its kind for the Center and the City of Indio for comedy competition. The festival will run daily with workshops from 10am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Performances will run from 4-9pm both days with a final awards reception Sunday Night. The Indio Performing Arts Center was established in 2006 as a nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster a creative environment of awareness and education of the performing arts for the entire Coachella Valley.
Schmett recently discussed the event, “It is such a thrill to see this comedy festival get off the ground this year. There is no question but that we will see some of the brightest and best of upcoming comedy professionals up close and personal at this premier event. It is safe to assume that our office will be busier than usual with the level of attendance expected during this three-day gala. The off season time frame is expected to be an additional boost for local hotels, restaurants and spas as well since they are usually slower this time of year.
