Improved Dressing Aid for Footwear Invented by InventHelp Client (JMC-1551)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) August 25, 2015 -- If you or someone you know has a hard time reaching down to pull on shoes and socks, you’ll be happy to learn how easy that task can be with the right tool. An inventor from Burlington, Colo., has discovered how to solve the problem.
He developed a prototype for the patent-pending GRIPPING SHOE HORN to allow those with physical limitations to put their shoes and socks on by themselves. As such, it promotes independence and a sense of accomplishment for users.
Furthermore, by eliminating the need to bend over to put on shoes and socks, it reduces pain and strained muscles in the abdomen, back and knees. At the same time, it promotes self-esteem and builds confidence. It is also lightweight, portable and easy to use, carry and store. In addition, it is convenient, practical, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “I suffered a stroke that caused partial paralysis of my left arm and leg. Even after intense physical therapy, I had difficulty putting on my shoes and needed to find a way to do that unassisted,” she said.
The original design was submitted to the Indianapolis office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
