Improved Mobility Aid Invented for Physical Therapy - Designed by InventHelp Client (HLW-1747)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 30, 2016 -- An inventor from Miami, Fla., was dissatisfied with the assistive devices on the market that were available to help people with limited mobility walk. So she designed a better mobility aid that is comfortable and easy to use for both patient and medical professionals and caregivers.
She developed a prototype for MAXIMO to help disabled individuals to walk more easily than with other mobility aids. As such, it provides an interactive walking therapy that allows the feet of the helper and the patient to step in unison. At the same time, it guarantees stability for better balance and is easy to put on and take off. This invention is also lightweight, comfortable and safe. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “My son suffers from cerebral palsy and needs mobility devices to help him walk. Since these products are difficult to use, I designed a more effective option that would be interactive with the therapist or caregiver,” she said.
The original design was submitted to the Hollywood/Miami office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
