Tucson, Arizona (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- Pulled from the archives is a little-known fact that the Heintzelman Mining Company of Tubac created their own currency for use in Tubac in mid-1800's. Today, Tubac is replicating that currency and launching a global social media campaign that includes contests and the replicated currency, which is aptly named Bolero Dinero, as a token of appreciation for visiting Tubac.
There are two ways to enter the contests, either 'Like' the Tubac Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page, or while visiting Tubac, sign in at one of Tubac's major attractions, Tubac Presidio State Historic Park or the Tubac Center of the Arts. Those who register will receive "Bolero Dinero" (Tubac currency) which may be used at many shops, galleries and eateries in Tubac. The value of the currency is determined by each individual merchant. Participating merchants are featured on the Facebook Page for the Tubac Chamber of Commerce or at their website http://www.TubacAZ.com.
Many prizes will be awarded throughout 2015 including a commemorative Tubac Festival of the Arts poster, lunch for two at Elvira's Restaurant, golf for two at Tubac Golf Resort & Spa, entrance for two at the Tubac Presidio Historic Park and more. Drawings will take place during the following events:
Tubac Festival of the Arts, February 4-8, 2015
Spring ArtWalk, March 14 & 15, 2015
Bonanza Days, April 25 & 26, 2015
Anza Days, October 17, 2015
