In Celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, Leading Lady Donates $250,000 in Nursing Bras to Breastfeeding Support Groups to Promote Breastfeeding Awareness Nationwide
Beachwood, OH (PRWEB) August 01, 2016 -- Loving Moments by Leading Lady will be donating over a quarter of a million dollars worth of breastfeeding essentials to local chapters of WIC (the USDA’s Women, Infant and Children program), La Leche League, ROSE (Reaching Our Sisters Everywhere), BMBFA (Black Mothers Breastfeeding Association), and other breastfeeding support organizations throughout the country to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, a global event that takes place during the first week of August. With the support of breastfeeding advocacy partner The Best for Babes Foundation and breastfeeding and parenting website KellyMom.com, this donation of over 28,000 nursing bras and other breastfeeding essentials is to honor and provide the ultimate support to mothers who work hard every day to nourish their babies and contribute to a sustainable world.
“Our goal is to promote breastfeeding to all demographic groups, including new moms who are least likely to breastfeed,” said Mark Corrado, third generation owner of Leading Lady. “By donating these nursing bras to WIC and other breastfeeding groups, we hope to have more moms nursing their newborns.”
World Breastfeeding Week is a week-long event that supports breastfeeding, mothers, babies and the worldwide community.
