In Vitro ADMET Laboratories LLC Announces Novel QuickRefreeze Technology for the Preparation of Cryopreserved Human Hepatocytes Pooled from Multiple Donors
Columbia, Maryland (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 -- In Vitro ADMET Laboratories LLC (IVAL) is proud to announce successful preparation of cryopreserved human hepatocytes from multiple donors using a novel QuickRefreeze technology. This technology (patent pending) involves thawing of previously cryopreserved human hepatocytes prepared from individual donors, followed by rapid pooling at cold temperature and immediate re-cryopreservation. The uniqueness of the technology is the elimination of the time-consuming, laborious, and potentially damaging procedures used to enrich for viable hepatocytes such as density gradient separation or elutriation before refreezing.
