Independence Day Innovation - Crowdfunding Cupcakes For A Fresh Start
Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 02, 2013 -- New to the world of crowdfunding, but not the world of batters and bakeries, Beth Stevens is launching her version of Independence Day via a KickStarter campaign that promises to be a sweet deal for donors, bringing cupcakes, coffee and lunchtime specials to the city of Oak Ridge North, Texas.
“When my husband was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer I really had to take a step back and realize that life is too short to not fulfill your dreams!” Beth explains. So she opened her special order bakery in the Fall of 2010 and has never looked back. As the owner of Giggles Cupcakery & Confections, Beth has been serving the Houston metropolitan area for over 2 years, fulfilling online special orders of cupcakes and quiches.
Her Independence Day funding campaign is designed to allow her to broaden her reach by opening a full service retail location, with expanded production facilities.
“We plan to continue our full line of bakery treats, just as we have for two years now, with over 38 flavor combinations. In addition to our current menu we will add a full line of other baked goods and lunchtime specials of salads, sandwiches, French-press coffees and fresh steeped teas,” says Beth.
Planned to open in January 2014, Giggles Cupcakery & Confections will be the city’s first cupcakery bistro. Giggles Cupcakery & Confections will be just east of The Woodlands, in the Robinson Road Shopping Plaza.
"I'm very excited at the prospect of this dream becoming a reality. Our KickStarter campaign is off to a great start. We have already garnered quite a lot of local interest in the Houston area and since we can ship our delicious cupcakes nationwide, we envision a successful conclusion to our Cupcake Independence Day campaign!"
