Independent Financial Group Awards over $50,000 to Charities in 2014
SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- Independent Financial Group, LLC (IFG) a San Diego-based independent broker-dealer has announced that donations totaling $58,450 have been awarded to The Challenged Athletes Foundation, Junior Blind of America, the Mitchell Thorp Foundation and the Wounded Warriors Project.
At IFG’s National Conference held at the Hotel del Coronado this past August, a $20,000 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project was preceded by a powerful keynote address led by actor and former Navy Seal, Rorke Denver. The donation to the charity was accepted by Warriors Speak representative, Kevin Shaeffer – a Navy Lieutenant who was working in the Navy Command Center on the first floor of the Pentagon’s “C-ring” when the September 11th attacks occurred.

It was therefore most fitting to choose the Wounded Warrior Foundation as our charity of the year and honor the men and women who fight for our freedom every day.”
