Indiana Hospital Association Selects BESLER Consulting as Endorsed Business Partner
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) announced today their endorsement of BESLER Consulting’s Transfer DRG Recovery Service.
Indiana Hospital Association’s recently launched Endorsed Business Partner Program promotes innovative vendors who bring value-added services to the members of IHA. Through the program, Indiana hospitals can access companies hand-selected as IHA-endorsed companies for their world-class business offerings. IHA’s endorsed companies can help hospitals reduce costs and drive performance improvement.
Transfer DRG Underpayments
Under Medicare reimbursement regulations, when certain patients are discharged to post-acute care, the discharging hospital is paid at a reduced rate. In some cases, this reduced payment is not justified by the actual post-discharge care. These underpayments are not reflective of coding or billing errors on behalf of the provider, but more commonly result from a change in the planned course of treatment subsequent to discharge.
After undergoing a rigorous review, BESLER’s Transfer DRG Revenue Recovery Service was awarded the “Peer Reviewed by HFMA®” designation by the Healthcare Financial Management Association.*
“We’re excited to welcome BESLER Consulting as one of our first endorsed business partners under our new program,” said Doug Leonard, president of IHA. “Their exceptional service will undoubtedly enhance Medicare revenue for hospitals across the state.”
“BESLER is proud to receive the endorsement of IHA for our revenue recovery services,” stated Jonathan Besler, president and CEO of BESLER Consulting. “We look forward to building upon our excellent track record with hospitals in Indiana, bringing valuable services to enhance and protect their Medicare revenue.”
