Indiana OSHA Recognizes Cintas Location in South Bend, Indiana with Highest Safety Designation
South Bend, IN (PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) announced that its rental location in South Bend, Ind. has received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). VPP is OSHA’s highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health and “Star” is its highest distinction.

The South Bend facility first began its journey toward VPP designation nearly three years ago. With the VPP mentorship from Eaton Corporation, which is also located in South Bend, they are now the 25th Cintas facility in the United States to receive VPP designation since 2011. Cintas Corporation ranks 12th in the entire nation for the number of VPP sites overall. The designation required on-going training, rigorous audits and collaboration between management and employee-partners.
Matt Nichols, Branch Manager of the South Bend Rental location acknowledges that “the efforts to instill a safety-focused culture at the South Bend facility have become engrained in our daily lives both at work and in our homes.” As part of the Cintas culture, safety has become a “way of life” both at work and at home.
