Indie Improv Nights Hosted by Improv Nation Promises to be a Laugh Riot
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Indie Improv Night at the Producers Club located at 358 W 44th Street in New York seems like the place to be on a mundane Tuesday. Successful improv shows for the last one had the audience coming back for more. Indie Improv Night has shows coming up this August 13th and 27th. The heart of Times Square is also the home of Improv Nation. From hosting Indie Improv Nights to cultivating insanity, Improv Nation brings short form to the next level. Featuring performers from UCB and The Pit training centers, and a troupe leader who is also a premiere member of 'Off the Top' at Gotham City Improv, this group is sure to make the audience laugh till they cry.
Improv is the art of "winging it," the art of listening to one another, the sharing a common goal and completely trusting each other to build a story. Improvers build the story with suggestions from the audience. They always leave with the amusement of how the improvers create stories with established characters on the spot. Indie Improv Night is where improvers let their unpredictability run free and imagination run wild. Every alternate Tuesday, different Improv teams register with the inhouse team Improv Nation to perform.
The July 30th show had the home team Improv Nation and guest team Wet Pajamas. Interested Improv Teams who want to be part of this indie night can register on their website. Tickets for the shows can be purchased either online or at the door. Those who attend the shows in the first few weeks can get a great deal. For $5 a ticket, they get to see all the teams and also get a free drink. Information about the teams scheduled for the upcoming shows and the dates can be viewed on their website or by following them on Facebook and Twitter @ImprovNation.
eGarage.tv, parent company of Improv Nation is currently working on recording all the shows and releasing them to the public. Soon, those who are not able to come to the shows can watch it on their website.
