Indie soul/rock band (i am) isis Premieres New Single “Take It Back”
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Brooklyn-based indie soul/rock band (i am) isis has debuted a new single, “Take It Back,” in advance of the release of their EP, since forever. “Take It Back” is a raw, uptempo track featuring the band’s signature driving guitars and empowering lyrics, telling listeners to “make their own way” and take control of one’s love, life and self-worth. Frontwoman isis has released several singles over the past few years, with and without the full band, which were eventually culled into an ad-hoc EP, amazingly random. since forever will be the debut collective effort from the group, set for release on September 9.
“I kept pushing the date back to concentrate on creating music from scratch with the guys, instead of just giving them my music to play,” said isis. “Now, there are five of us, with our own personalities who bring five distinct flavors to this experience. The best part of creating is having all of our sounds and technical abilities marry into this sonic stew.”
(i am) isis currently consists of bassist Mike Koltosky, drummer Manny Mav, guitarist Diamond Dave, and keyboardist Isaac Childs who bring isis’ crazy, color-filled melodies to life on stage. The band’s sound is considered an eclectic fusion of rock and spoken soul, with a bluesy funk for the new millennium.
