MACON, Ga., Oct. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The IMA-NA awarded KaMin LLC the IMA-NA Safety Achievement Award at their Annual Meeting in Rosemont, IL, this week. This marks the second consecutive year that KaMin has received this prestigious award.
The IMA-NA Safety Achievement Award recognizes the best reportable injury rate for an individual IMA-NA member company by size category for the preceding calendar year, in this case 2016. The award criteria evaluate a company's safety performance at all of its U.S. mines. The safety recognition awards program is run in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
KaMin accumulated 810,817 employee hours with 3 injuries during 2016 for an injury rate of 0.74 per 200,000 employee work-hours.
