Industry Veteran Eldon Ball Joins Hart Energy Editorial Team
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- Eldon R. Ball has joined Hart Energy in a newly created role as its executive editor for special projects. Ball is an expert oil and gas journalist and industry communications executive with deep experience in conferences, magazines and online media. He will help develop Hart Energy’s editorial content and conference programs and expand its industry relationships, especially in the offshore sector.
Ball will lead the editorial process on special projects, supplements and custom publishing products, including Hart Energy’s award-winning Playbook series, and develop products specific to the offshore market. As part of Hart Energy’s global network of journalists, Ball will be based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
“We are pleased to welcome a professional of Eldon’s caliber to our team,” said Richard A. Eichler, CEO of Hart Energy. “Our evolution and growth as a comprehensive information provider to the energy industry allows us to continue building a world-class organization here in the United States and beyond.”
Throughout his 30+ years covering energy and technology markets, Ball has been involved in a broad range of media channels – print, online and live events. Most recently he was the senior manager for the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, the offshore petroleum industry’s largest annual event. Prior to that, Ball served as editor-in-chief and associate publisher for Offshore magazine and as director of offshore conferences in the U.S., West Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
“My career has prepared me for this role, yet the extent and potential of the opportunities at Hart Energy are exciting,” Ball said. “In many ways, these are the best of times in the petroleum industry.”
