Industry Veteran Joins Firstmark Credit Union As Chief Financial Officer
San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) July 14, 2016 -- With an eye on strategic growth in the near future, Firstmark Credit Union announced that it has hired industry veteran Mike Grundon to serve as its Chief Financial Officer. With 30 years experience in financial services, Mike has expertise in investment management, asset and liability management, and growth strategies. The credit union also announced that Wendy Bryant-Beswick will assume the credit union’s newly created role of Chief Retail Officer.

Mike has spent over 20 years in the credit union industry, most recently as the Vice President of Investments with Mission Federal Credit Union, a nearly $3 billion financial cooperative in San Diego, California. In that role, he oversaw the management of a $1 billion investment portfolio and other related capital market transactions. Prior to that, he was responsible for the finance, treasury and secondary market areas for Arizona State Credit Union. He also has experience in the consumer, mortgage, and business lending sectors.
During his career, Mike has been active with multiple industry organizations including the Credit Union National Association and the Credit Union Executives Society and has been a speaker on topics such as asset and liability management, profitability, and data mining. Over the years, he has volunteered time with worthy causes such as the Children’s Hospital in San Diego, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and Junior Achievement.
Additionally, Tarwasokono announced that Wendy Bryant-Beswick has been named the credit union’s Chief Retail Officer. Wendy will be responsible for transforming the organization’s brand and retail experience for its members. She will oversee all aspects of Retail Services and Marketing, which include 17 Financial Centers, the Member Contact Center, Community Partnerships, Legislative Affairs, and Communications.

Wendy joined Firstmark in early 2016 as the Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to her role at the credit union, she held leadership positions with iShares/Blackrock, Generations Federal Credit Union, BCCI Construction, and Schwab Institutional.
