Infocast's Safer Consumer Products Briefing Returns this January in San Diego
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 01, 2015 -- Infocast, the leading business intelligence and networking event producer, is proud to announce the return of the Safer Consumer Products Briefing. The Briefing will take place in San Diego on January 12, 2016, co-located with the 7th Annual Bio-Based & Sustainable Products Summit. The one-day briefing will provide the latest details on California’s Safer Consumer Products Regulations, TSCA Reform and how leading brands, OEMs, retailers and chemical companies are innovating ahead of the regulatory curve.
California’s Safer Consumer Products program has been slow moving to date, but required actions are on the horizon for supply-chain providers and manufacturers of consumer products in California. Regulations are forcing consumer products manufacturers, retailers and chemical companies to examine supply chains. The program has established a list of “candidate chemicals” and “priority products” that contain candidate chemicals.
Manufacturers and supply-chain participants of priority products are now required to submit priority product notifications to California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control and submit any information regarding a “safer” way to make priority products.
Infocast’s Safer Consumer Products Briefing will gather representatives from California DTSC and other governmental policy makers along with nationally recognized consumer brands, manufacturers, and retailers to provide the latest information on California’s Green Chemistry regulations and the changing state and federal chemicals landscape.
The Summit is sponsored by AlterEcho, TKingsbury LLC, Keller and Heckman LLP, GEA Group, Acme-Hardesty & SwRI, and is supported by the California Retailers Association, Green Chemistry and Commerce Council, and re:chem. Speakers and organizations include California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) U.S. EPA, AOBiome, BeautyCounter, Office Depot, S.C. Johnson & Son, Seventh Generation, Henkel Consumer Goods, Design Chain Associates, Eastman Chemical Company, Environment & Public Health Consulting, Gradient, John Frazier, Monica Becker & Associates Sustainability Consultants, Northwest Green Chemistry, Tarkett North America, The Dow Chemical Company, U.S. Green Building Council, and more!
