InfoMart Hosts Campaign Fundraiser Luncheon Supporting Attorney General Sam Olens
Marietta, GA (PRWEB) December 21, 2013 -- InfoMart hosted the Georgia background screening community for a campaign fundraiser to benefit Attorney General Sam Olens.
Recently, Olens joined eight other state attorneys general in sending a statement to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regarding lawsuits filed by the commission that deal with employers' use of criminal background checks. The luncheon, co-sponsored by InfoMart and International Screening Solutions, gave Attorney General Olens the opportunity to address the concerns of the background screening industry in Georgia, and answer questions about the EEOC's April 2012 guidance on use of criminal background checks for employment purposes. Olens showed his support for employers' use of a proper screening process, noting that "background checks are intended to protect employees and consumers - plain and simple."
