Information Page on Non 12 Step Addiction Rehabilitation Updated by Sunshine Coast Health Center
(PRWEB) July 29, 2015 -- Sunshine Coast Health Center (http://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/), a top-rated drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment centers in British Columbia with patients coming from Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and other Canadian cities, is proud to announce upgrades to its non 12 step program explanatory page as part of its website redesign. The center uses an innovative, secular approach to assist with drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment that is unique from the common twelve step programs of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
"Our recent website update allows us some unique opportunities to spread our message," explained Daniel Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. "We now have a specific page that explains our non 12 step program, which is of high interest to people not only in Vancouver or Victoria but throughout British Columbia and indeed all of Canada."

More on the Center's Philosophy
Sunshine Coast Health Center officially opened in the spring of 2004. The Jordan family, having spent the previous 25 years running residential mental health facilities, saw the need for a privately-funded drug rehabilitation centre and had the land, buildings and experience in residential group care to make it possible. Patterning itself after the largest treatment centres in the United States, Betty Ford Center and Hazelden, Sunshine Coast first opened as a 12-Step treatment centre. Over the next few years, however, the Jordan family found that too many clients weren’t being treated with the kindness and respect they deserved and, furthermore, that 12-Step treatment was not backed by psychological research. As a result, in 2008 Sunshine Coast Health Center overhauled its program, replacing its 12-Step focus with a meaning-centered focus. The new website upgrade now allows even more detailed information on this philosophy.
