InfoSystems announces U.S. launch of StREAM Student Success System for higher education
Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) August 04, 2015 -- InfoSystems, a leading IT solutions and services provider based in the southeastern U.S., announced today it has secured exclusive rights in the U.S. to distribute the StREAM Student Success System™. StREAM, an award winning predictive analytics solution from UK-based SolutionPath, has been deployed at several university systems in Europe and uses self-learning algorithms to predict student success rates while offering intervention points for improvement. The improvement in student retention lessens the impact of lost revenue from student dropouts which, according to a study from the Education Policy Institute , costs on average $13 million per institution annually.
In a technology and distribution partnership, InfoSystems will serve as the exclusive solution provider for StREAM in the U.S., and will host a kick-off reception in Boston on August 11, with a case study from the CIO of Nottingham Trent University, based in the U.K.
“Colleges and universities are losing on average over $13 million in revenue each year due to student drop-outs,” said Clay Hales, president and CEO of InfoSystems, Inc. “Our student success system not only gives students and administrators weeks of notice to change academic behavior, but it also installs in a fraction of the time of competing student retention solutions. This in turn, provides a very fast ROI and quick time to value.”
The StREAM Student Success System leverages existing enterprise data to create predictive models which counselors and administrators use to monitor student success rates. The models are based on specific areas of study that compare progress across each student’s specific scholastic discipline. This is a departure from models from similar solution providers that compare student data to student populations. The student forecasting results from StREAM are more accurate because the models compare engineering students to engineering programs, and law students to law programs, etc., as opposed to comparing engineering student data to the general student population.
Additionally, StREAM installs in a fraction of the time and with minimal resources of similar solutions on the market in the U.S. In a typical 30,000-student system, StREAM can be deployed in less than 5 days with 1 full-time equivalency resource. Within 90 days, the predictive analytics engine can create accurate models of forecasting for student successes. Typical competitive deployments across the industry can take up to 9-12 months and still not deliver forecasts as accurately as StREAM.
