InfoTrends Study Identifies the Business Inkjet Value Gap
Weymouth, MA (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- InfoTrends has released a new study entitled Identifying the Business Inkjet Value Gap. The objective of this study is to identify and quantify the business inkjet value gap and translate these findings into a commercially actionable set of recommendations. The study addresses the customer beliefs and biases surrounding laser and business inkjet technologies. It also tackles the question: Is page-wide business inkjet print quality acceptable for business users?
The study focuses on buyer beliefs and resultant purchase behavior. Global headquarters, regional centers, and local operating companies will all benefit from the insights this study delivers. With the focus on buyer belief and subsequent behavior, the study is highly relevant for business ink communities. Business inkjet vendors can more clearly understand the magnitude of the business ink challenge. The customer insight provided by this study enables vendors to address buyer perceptions, preconceptions, false beliefs, and biases in the most effective manner through communication activities.
This project has embraced a number of complex issues. Unraveling customer beliefs is always going to be a challenge. With no two customers holding identical beliefs and biases, clustering of customer segments helps to identify major customer categories with similar views. What has been learned is that customers appear to hold a number of beliefs about inkjet and laser technology and that these beliefs often stem from prior experience. It is not always the case that laser customers and inkjet customers hold different beliefs about the respective technologies.
