London, UK (PRWEB UK) 23 April 2015 -- Inkling, creators of the world’s only integrated cloud content platform, today announced a new technology partnership with Ixxus, the leading global provider of publishing solutions.
The companies have agreed to integrate the authoring, workflow and content richness of Inkling’s publishing platform with the powerful content management capabilities of Alfresco.
The Inkling-Ixxus connector will allow customers to access and manage digital assets stored in Alfresco through Inkling’s authoring environment. It will also allow teams to store and manage fully composed digital documents in Alfresco for compliance and approvals, as well as access from downstream systems.
For existing Alfresco users, the connector enables the creation of beautiful digital content from within a collaborative, integrated content environment, direct from your Alfresco content repository. Inkling’s authoring environment makes it easy for large teams to collaborate seamlessly to create media-rich, mobile-first content.
For existing Inkling customers, the connector provides a holistic digital publishing solution, with all the benefits of Alfresco ECM, including powerful search and discovery, asset versioning, and advanced workflow and approval functionality.
Ixxus will support Inkling through their appointment as the first Inkling Global Systems Integration partner, working with customers who have specialist publishing needs and require custom implementations of the platform. Ixxus will provide consulting and professional services to support advanced Inkling implementations.
“Inkling powers content development at many of the largest publishers in the world, and Ixxus provides publishing solutions to 40% of the top 20 largest publishers in the world, so it was a no brainer to bring our worlds together”, said Ixxus CEO Steve Odart. “This partnership represents a real opportunity to give our customers a truly holistic e-publishing experience.”
“Ixxus has a track record of solving the toughest publishing technology challenges, so this is a two-part win for our customers,” said Matt MacInnis, Founder and CEO of Inkling. “Not only are we improving Inkling’s integration with advanced enterprise content systems, but we’re also bringing aboard a trusted partner to help make our mutual customers successful.”
Ixxus will provide consultation and integration services for Inkling beginning in Q2 of 2015. The Inkling-Alfresco connector will be commercially available later this year.
