About the Author
Michael T. Dealy was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and holds degrees in English Literature, Semi-Comparative Literature, School Psychology, Educational Psychology and a Certificate in Eriksonian Hypnotherapy. He is a regular marathoner, with wide experience in running children’s camps both day camps and sleep away camps like Universal Camping in the Catskills, N.Y. He is a psychotherapist in private practice, a national lecturer on crisis intervention and dynamics of adolescence. He is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at several universities. He is an educator, headmaster at Bay Ridge Preparatory School in Brooklyn, N.Y., an educational consultant, Tae Kwon Do instructor and possibly the only person in history to do Tae Kwon Do in Antarctica barefoot. He is a graduate of Fordham University and Pace University, and an official member of the principal’s center at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
