Esteemed recognition professional and visionary, Theresa Harkins will present “Five Things Recognition Professionals Can Learn from Successful Sales People,” during the opening break-out session at the RPI Annual Conference, held at the Mandalay Bay Casino & Resort, in conjunction with the Promotional Products Association January 12-16, 2014. Harkins will also address PPAI about Recognition Best Practices.
This conference will bring both organizations together in support of RPI’s efforts to provide education and access to members who are interested in growing their businesses through recognition and promotional products. These on-going efforts serve to educate qualified distributors, recruit new members and provide enhanced buyer education and awareness.
As a part of that education, Harkins will share with attendees how each and every recognition professional is, in a sense, a “sales person” within their own organization. After examining the five best practices of successful sales people, attendees will be able to apply these principles within their own organization to aid in fostering a stronger recognition and rewards culture. Upon completion of this session participants will have the tools to identify and better nurture opportunities such as being able to describe their organizations vision for recognition, identify and seize recognition opportunities and realize opportunities to deepen the roots of the recognition culture in their organization.
With 16 years in the industry Harkins has proven her commitment to improving the workplace by designing and implementing robust programs which reward desired behaviors and recognize individuals in a meaningful and personal manner. As a former president of RPI, Harkins continues to provide leadership as a key contributor in the development of the Certified Recognition Professional (CRP) Curriculum. She is an innovator in the design, implementation and deployment of enterprise employee recognition strategies within many organizations.
