Institute for Excellence in Sales & Business Development to Recognize Bruce Klein, Cisco's Worldwide Partner Leader, with Lifetime Achievement Award
Vienna, VA (PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- The Institute for Excellence in Sales & Business Development (IES&BD) annually presents awards for corporate and organizational sales & business development operational excellence. As part of the award ceremony, they recognize a Lifetime Achievement Award Winner. This year the IES&BD will honor Bruce Klein, senior vice president of Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Organization.
“The annual Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated unparalleled success, leadership, and high-performance for winning organizations over the course of their career – a true Hall of Famer,” said Fred Diamond, founder of the IES&BD and president of DIAMOND Strategic Marketing. “The award committee reviewed dozens of candidates and is very proud to recognize Bruce with this year’s award.”
Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Organization is responsible for supporting Cisco’s global business of more than 60,000 partners, which includes systems integrators, value-added resellers, distributors, services partners, independent software vendors, and technology partners. It accounts for more than 80 percent of Cisco’s revenue.
Klein joined Cisco in 2004 and held previous roles leading the U.S. Public Sector and Federal organizations, which are responsible for building a vision, strategy, and execution plan to further advance Cisco’s relationship with customers, partners, and suppliers in this market segment. Prior to joining Cisco, Klein was vice president of Federal at Hewlett-Packard, where he managed sales, services, support and marketing into the federal government.
Anne Altman, Jay Nussbaum, and Robert Guerra are previous IES&BD Lifetime Achievement Award winners. The award will be presented to Klein at the IES&BD 4th annual breakfast event on May 1, 2014 at the USA Today/Gannett Headquarters in Tysons Corner, Va.
The IES&BD also announced that Carahsoft President Craig P. Abod will receive its first Executive Director’s award to recognize his firm’s remarkable growth. Abod has grown Carahsoft to revenues of $1.7 billion in ten years, generating more than $6.3 billion in total revenue over a ten-year period.
“The IES&BD recognizes superior achievement in business-to-business selling, including business-to-government,” said Diamond. “The achievements Craig Abod and his team have made in generating unparalleled revenues in such a short time are outstanding. We look forward to recognizing this achievement with our first Executive Director’s award.”
Diamond also said that 20 companies will vie for sales excellence awards at the IES&BD award event on May 1. Companies who have won in the past include Blackboard, Learning Tree, CEB, and JK Moving. More information on the award event can be found at http://www.i4esbd.org.
