Institute of Dance Artistry Presents Dance Concert to Benefit The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Montgomery County, PA (PRWEB) November 03, 2013 -- The Generations dance concert gives the students at IDA the opportunity to perform alongside professional dance companies within the Philadelphia and New York City areas while raising funds for charities. This is the third year the Institute of Dance Artistry will raise funds for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is close to my heart as a dear friend of mine and my family’s suffers from this disease. We pray constantly for a cure and strive to raise funds needed to further research. Great strides have been made but we won't stop fighting until there is a cure,” said, Director of the Institute of Dance Artistry, Jamie Lipskin.
Other charities the Institute has helped in the past include Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, Katie's Kids for the Cure, and Be The Match Foundation.
Featured in this year’s concert of dance are IDA’s Senior Repertory Companies, Junior Repertory Companies, and the Hip-hop Company along with professional freelance artists Cat Adduci and Tara Madsen Robbins, as well as professional companies Born into the Arts, Project Moshen, and The Lady Hoofers.
IDA, located in the Philadelphia suburbs, is a school offering dance classes in modern, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop dance. Devoted to the philosophy that dance is an art, not a competitive sport, IDA provides the ideal dance education for all its students.
