Interactive Achievement Partners with Key Data Systems to Offer Inspect Item Bank
Roanoke, VA (PRWEB) January 20, 2016 -- Interactive Achievement (IA) has announced a new partnership with California-based Key Data Systems (KDS) that offers educators an expanded repository of items to use in creating formative assessments to meet 21st century assessment demands.
With the addition of KDS’s Inspect item bank, educators using IA’s award-winning assessment platform, onTRAC, will now have access to nearly 80,000 content items to build formative assessments to measure student learning and inform instruction.
The Inspect item bank includes 27,000 items in the subjects of Math and ELA for grades K-12, as well as 200 pre-built assessments. This content is aligned for both state learning standards and Common Core standards.
“We are always looking for ways to equip educators with the best instructional tools to manage an assessment program that effectively helps students learn and grow,” said Jonathan Hagmaier, CEO of Interactive Achievement. “Adding Inspect to our product lineup gives educators more variety and flexibility in creating assessments that are fresh and tailored to their students’ needs.”
Within onTRAC, teachers can either use pre-built assessments or create their own using content from one of IA’s item banks. Items in the content banks, including the Inspect platform, are expertly written and carefully curated by professional writers to align with rigor and depth of today’s standards. Using items in the bank, educators can create rigorous assessments by selecting item types that include more innovative types like multiple choice, constructed response and Technology Enhanced Items (TEI).
"If we help an educator impact a student’s learning, then we have done our job," says Dr. Wells. “Consequently, we have created Inspect to be more than an item bank. We work hard to create a complete suite of high-rigor, innovative items and ready-to-use assessments that include instructional guidance. This combination is what ultimately helps educators target and impact instruction to meet students’ needs."
Like other third-party item banks, Inspect seamlessly integrates with onTRAC, and is available to all clients for a nominal fee.
