It identifies the five biggest threats as drink driving, speeding, and failure to wear seat belts, motorcycle helmets and child restraints. Worryingly, the report highlights the fact that only one in seven countries has comprehensive laws against these risk factors. Some of the countries with the worst road safety records are India, Brazil and China- all popular expat destinations. The WHO report calls for more urgent legislation change in order to substantially reduce road accidents.
