(PRWEB UK) 1 October 2013 -- The article, Work, Not Beaches, Bring Expats Down Under: Survey, published 2nd September in 7 News, reveals that the survey sought the opinions of over 3,000 executives across the globe, finding that the “dominant issue in deciding where to locate is workplace related.” The biggest driving force to work in a particular destination was “the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging projects”, with liveability coming second. This term covered areas such as ease of transport and safety and security. It was concluded that Sydney would need to work on promoting its prospects for career progression in order to compete more aggressively.
A collaboration between the New South Wales state government and the Independent Committee, the report compared Sydney with cities across the US and Europe as well as the likes of Shanghai and Tokyo.
