(PRWEB UK) 23 October 2013 -- It has been reported in The Telegraph that a new study into the happiness of Brits abroad revealed that 9 out of ten of those who had emigrated to Canada claimed to be happy. The survey questioned 1,632 UK expatriates aged over 18 across all areas of the world on how they were finding their decision so far. Other countries which also ranked well in the happiness index were Australia, Norway, Dubai and New Zealand. A “better standard of living” was found to be the biggest source of joy amongst expatriates.
The biggest cause of unhappiness was cited as “cultural difference”.
Best known for their global removal services, Interdean have helped customers moving to Canada for over 50 years. Always interested in new studies and research into expat satisfaction levels, a representative from the firm speculates on the findings.
“We’re not surprised to hear that 90% of British expats are happy they made the decision to move to Canada. With beautiful scenery and a more relaxed pace of life, the North American country offers plenty of benefits without being too much of a culture shock. This also explains why so many people are moving to Australia and New Zealand. Our advice to anyone thinking of living overseas would be to seek further research like this, and first hand reviews and accounts.”
