Interdean Reviews Study Into Contribution of UK Immigrants
(PRWEB UK) 29 November 2013 -- It has been reported in Expat Forum that immigrants arriving in the UK since 2000 have made a significantly positive net contribution to the UK’s fiscal system. Written by Professor Christian Dustmann and Dr. Tommaso Frattini, the report, entitled The Fiscal Effects of Immigration to the UK, published November 2013, finds that this is especially true of UK immigrants from the European Economic Area, where people have contributed approximately 34% more in taxes than they received through benefits. A couple of notable benefits include less financial burden on born UK workers as well as better education. In 2011, 32% of recent EEA immigrants and 43% of recent non-EEA immigrants had a university degree.
