Intermedix ePCR Receives Two NEMSIS 3.4.0 Certifications
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) September 07, 2016 -- Intermedix Corporation announced Wednesday it was awarded the NEMSIS 3.4.0 certification for both Collect Data and Receive and Process Data.
The company received the certifications for its electronic patient care record, or ePCR, solution, TripTix.
TripTix is an ePCR used by EMS and first responder agencies to quickly and securely complete patient incident reports required for provider records, medical billing and state reporting programs. The latest version of the solution features an entirely updated user interface, optimized for field use.
The National EMS Information System, or NEMSIS, Version 3 is an EMS industry data standard that seeks to standardize the EMS industry from an operational, service delivery and patient care perspective.
“At Intermedix, we are committed to supporting our clients as they strive to provide excellence in patient care,” said Intermedix CEO Joel Portice. “As a result, we work closely with NEMSIS to ensure that our technology meets the highest levels of compliance, which provides our clients with the confidence that they have accurate and timely access to their data.”
In order to obtain the certification for its ePCR, Intermedix had to comply with a data dictionary of 574 data elements and a data exchange standard using XML, among other criteria.
A new rules engine in TripTix, designed specifically to meet the new NEMSIS standards, allows EMS agencies to simply configure and represent their data collection policies. Data captured in the solution can be accessed by EMS administrators to create, view and analyze reports. The capability presents compelling benefits for performance benchmarking and quality initiatives.
The certification is awarded by the National EMS Information System’s Technical Assistance Center which has as its core mission to help unify EMS data.
