International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Announces Model of the Year at 2013 New York Convention!
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 10, 2013 -- Celebrating the 54th IMTA Convention and the 27th year in New York City, IMTA was host to some amazing modeling and talent industry highlights. Fashion and commercial agents from around the world were at IMTA to network, scout, interview and most importantly to discover new faces. Talent agents, managers and casting directors were also in attendance to find actors, singers, songwriters and dancers to represent.
Cover Girl Christina Makowski (IMTA 2003) made a special appearance and spoke during the IMTA Contestant Orientation. She said, “I was here at IMTA ten years ago. I am so happy to be back... Good luck, stay positive, be yourself and you'll do great!” Curtis Davis, international fashion show producer, staged a Designer Fashion Show with IMTA Contestants turned professional models walking in fashions never before seen in the United States by Beautyberry, X132, Euroangel while IMTA child models wore FF&DD. O’PEARL sponsored the beautiful jewelry worn in the show. At the IMTA Awards Party, Natalie Ellis and Nick Cartell, both stars from this and next year’s Broadway season, amazed the entire ballroom with singing performances. Former IMTA Songwriting Contestant Versy Picone performed her original song which will be recorded very soon. Recording artist and former IMTA Contestant Illmatic Scream got the entire ballroom on their feet and most of them on the stage during his hit performance! Callbacks went very well for the models, actors, singers, songwriters, and dancers who met with the agents, managers, casting directors and industry VIP’s who were interested in representing them.
On Award’s Night, thousands of dollars in scholarships were presented from New York Film Academy, Actors Working, New York Conservatory for Performing Arts, Adam Hill, Beverly Long and Cassiopeia. Pageantry Magazine and O’Pearl Jewelry awarded top Models.
