International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Announces Models and Actors of the Year
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2015 -- IMTA began 2015 with an amazing modeling and talent industry showcase. Fashion and commercial agents from around the world were at IMTA to network, scout, interview and most importantly to discover new faces. Talent agents, managers and casting directors were also in attendance to find actors, singers, songwriters and dancers to represent.
IMTA Alum international top model Madison Paige spoke at Contestant Orientation saying, "This place pushes you and it makes you learn so much more than you could ever learn and I have met some of the most amazing people through the experience." IMTA Alum Isabella Jiang also spoke and said, "IMTA was an amazing experience. I learned so much, I met so many beautiful people from all over the world. IMTA really changed my entire career." Duncan Anderson said, "This week is going to be one of the most important weeks of your life and if you have a positive attitude and keep yourself calm, I swear you guys will have a lot of success. Practice your craft. If you really want it, you can get it." Emilie Waters said, "I went to IMTA New York last July. I had a ton of fun. This Convention is all about fun. Go out there and kill it and have the time of your life. You really just need to have the time of your life. This really is the experience of a lifetime." Aire Sirvaitis said, "I lived in Bangkok for two months because of IMTA. Dreams do come true."
Curtis Davis, international fashion show producer, staged a gorgeous Designer Fashion Show with IMTA Contestants turned professional models walking in fashions from X132, D Harry Designs, Yummy Honey Swim, and Kithe Brewster (featuring custom chaps by Kushinda Little) and jewelry from O'Pearl Brand.
At the IMTA L.A. Dance Party, Disney XD star and IMTA Alum Olivia Stuck performed the original song 'Til You Come Home'. The Contestants also danced and received their individual competition awards.
At the Scholarship Brunch, more than five hundred thousand dollars in scholarships were awarded! New York Film Academy (17 $10,000 or more scholarships), New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts (14 scholarships of $20,000 each), Beverly Long Casting/Discover Inc. Management/Casting By Patrick Baca and Patrick Baca's Pilot Workshop were some of the scholarships given. Scholarships were also awarded from Clair Sinnett Actor's Working, Adam Hill Actors/Promenade Theatre Conservatory, and Cassiopeia Productions.
Callbacks were a major success for the models, actors, singers, songwriters, and dancers who met with the agents, managers, casting directors and industry VIP’s who were interested in representing them. Celebrity Drew Kenney, from The Bachelorette, co-hosted Awards Night with Mark Reynolds and featured the announcement of the Models of the Year, Actors of the Year and more. IMTA VIP celebrity presenters included Riley Smith (The Image Group), Americus Abesamis (AIM-Tomorrow Talent), Shaquille Hemmans (Barbizon OC), Tanner Stine (The Peak Agency), Belle Feaster (Diane Dick Legends) and many more who were on hand to congratulate this year's winners and award their trophies. IMTA President Nancy Mancuso and Riley Smith celebrated industry legend Al Onorato with a Lifetime Achievement Award and he received a standing ovation for his contributions to the industry and IMTA. Mr. Onorato was integral in starting the careers of IMTA superstars and Alums, Elijah Wood and Katie Holmes, among hundreds of others.
