Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Sponsors Fundraiser for Radiology Business Management Association Scholarship
Fairfax, VA (PRWEB) September 23, 2015 -- Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC), an exhibitor at the Radiology Business Management Association Fall Educational Conference, is conducting a special fundraiser during the conference to benefit the RBMA’s Bob Luther Scholarship. For every attendee that visits IAC’s booth during the conference, IAC will donate $1 to the scholarship.
“Supporting the educational efforts of RBMA through a donation to the Bob Luther Scholarship Fund is an important initiative for IAC,” said Tamara Sloper, director of Marketing/Communications for the IAC. “Conference attendees are encouraged to visit the IAC booth, #502, to learn more about the value of IAC accreditation and hear what their fellow imaging colleagues are saying about their IAC experience as it relates to ease of the online application, reapplication, live webinar offerings and the overall customer service provided by the IAC.”
The Bob Luther Emerging Leader Travel Scholarship was created to give RBMA members who are first time practice managers or those interested in becoming a practice manager a chance to experience the value of RBMA. Scholarship recipients have a choice between attending the RBMA Radiology Summit (held in the spring) or RBMA Fall Educational Conference (held in the fall). Recipients receive a complimentary registration at the conference and up to $1,000 for reasonable travel expenses.
“Introducing the next generation of radiology leaders to the benefits of attending our conferences and networking with leaders in their field is a critical component of the RBMA mission of helping shape the profession’s future,” said Daphne Gawronski, director of Communications and Development for the RBMA.
The Bob Luther Emerging Leader Travel Scholarship was first awarded in 2007. It honors Bob Luther, a member of the RBMA for 24 years and Association President from 1998 to 1999. Luther passed away in December of 2006 and the scholarship was set up to commemorate his many years of service to the organization and his dedication to leadership development.
All RBMA active and additional members who are first-time practice managers or interested in becoming practice managers are eligible for the scholarship. To be considered, an eligible member must complete an online application and submit a resume or curriculum vitae along with one letter of reference to the RBMA by its application deadline. For the 2016 scholarship, that deadline is January 31, 2016.
